The front corners of the convertible top around the doors around the mirrors, leak some rain water and the rain drips onto the floor.
The check engine light is on. The engine code for a faulty turbo boost sensor. However, the engine runs and drives great and the turbo boost gauge shows that it builds turbo boost pressure. The turbo boost sensor is made onto the turbo housing. This means that in order to replace the sensor, the turbo and the manifold all need to be replaced. On amazon you can find a new turbo will all of the components for approx $800 plus approx $800 install and all is well. VW dealer would charge around $3k PLUS for the same work with VW parts and not amazon aftermarket parts. OR, Drive and use the car the way it is ... it runs and drives great.
The miles are listed as TMU due to the fact that the battery was dead and the insurance company could not verify the digital miles at the time of the salvage title. Now that the car is running, the miles are accurate per the odometer, but the title shows TMU, true miles unknown so CARFAX and similar will show true miles unknown even though the miles are accurate.
